Hello, and thank you for visiting our website. My name is Todd Barber and I am the voice of rhythm engineering. I started this company in 1997 and since then I have helped hundreds of clients plan their parties and entertain their guests.

My first gig was my mother and father in-laws 25th wedding anniversary party. At the time, I had no idea that simple favor would evolve into a career. I received many compliments from the guests at the party. One of those guests gave me a referral for another gig and the rest, as they say, is history.

My very first gig developed a word of mouth referral that got me started in the business. Since then the majority of my business has been based on referrals. My former clients have always been my best sales people. In fact, I have a number of clients that have referred me to several others. I am both honored and flattered that my prior clients are comfortable recommending me to their friends and family.

In addition to running this business I have worked in the field of Information Technology for nearly 20 years. I started in the business doing technical support for a small firm. Later I moved on to a mid-sized firm where I eventually become the I.T. Department Manager. I now work in the public sector as an I.T. Project Manager. In addition to traditional computer support, I specialize in the support of Audio Visual systems for boardrooms, television studios, theater and performing arts.

I put my technology background to work in my business and for my clients at every event. We live in a technology centric world and my extensive background allows me to offer my clients something more than the average DJ.

I don't operate this business strictly by myself. rhythm engineering is a family business. My wife and both of my daughters all provide me with assistance from time to time. I also work with a few other professionals that I bring on to work with me for larger events. Unlike some of the larger firms where you might book and plan your event with one person and a different person shows up at your event. I can guarantee you will be working with me every step of the way. I will be the one that you meet with to plan your event. I will be the one that you talk to on the phone. I will be your DJ, your emcee, your entertainment director and at the end of the night I will be there packing up.
